For over two decades, I’ve worked as a health journalist and documentary director, chasing answers to one of humanity’s greatest questions: How do we live not just longer, but better?
This journey took me across continents for my documentary series, Impossible Age — from the Amazon rainforest and Ayurvedic clinics in India, to longevity research labs in Japan and cutting-edge biotech hubs in the U.S. Along the way, I uncovered ancient practices, modern medicine, and natural ingredients that people have used for centuries to maintain their vitality, youth, and radiant skin.
It was on these travels that I discovered the formula for Sommer Skin — a skincare line born directly from the wisdom, rituals, and science I encountered while filming.

While living among the Shipibo healers of the Amazon, I learned the importance of plant-based remedies for cleansing and rejuvenation. In Kerala, India, I studied Ayurvedic botanicals used to balance the body and skin. In Japan, I saw how diet, community, and antioxidant-rich ingredients contributed to youthful longevity. And in high-tech labs in the U.S. and Australia, I met scientists pioneering bioactive compounds for cellular repair.
